Are you a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a passion for community safety and safeguarding? We are seeking a dedicated professional to take the helm of our Community Safety Team and lead our safeguarding efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of community safety in Mid Sussex and make a tangible impact on our district.
Role Overview:
As the lead for our Community Safety Team and corporate safeguarding, you will be instrumental in driving positive change following a thorough review of our anti-social behaviour initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include managing a small yet effective team, fostering new ways of working, and implementing a database system to enhance our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and inspire a team of dedicated professionals to deliver outstanding results in community safety and safeguarding.
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative strategies to address anti-social behaviour and enhance overall community safety.
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders across the district, including local authorities, law enforcement agencies, and community organisations.
- Take ownership of safeguarding initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Drive continuous service improvement by monitoring performance metrics and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven track record of team management and partnership working in the field of community safety.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Experience in project management and driving organisational change is desirable.
