Business Unit Leader for Digital & Technology

Salary: Up to £58,433 pa

Our Digital strategy puts our customers at the heart of our services. We need an ambitious and experienced leader with a proven track record in Digital and ICT delivery to continue to develop and deliver our vision.  We have a programme which includes taking advantage of cloud hosted solutions and delivering digital applications defined by corporate priorities.

The role is responsible for delivering effective IT services, supported by robust, embedded processes for incident, problem and change management with focus on service excellence and continual service improvement. You’ll analyse and quantify current ways of working, and produce costed recommendations for improving a service, ranging from minor adjustments to a redesigned delivery model.

You will be responsible for leading and developing a number of staff, with the prime objective of ensuring the planning and delivery of work helps to deliver service plan objectives and customer needs.

You must be able to balance the technical requirements of the role along with people management, finance and strategic skills. Regular communication to colleagues and partners is also vital in terms of promotion of how technology can improve our service and reduce costs.

You will be able to demonstrate proven experience of successfully operating in a similar role. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to influence, inspire and motivate others at all levels.
